What does Ragno mean?

It is Italian for spider. In Italian, "gn" sounds like "ny" as in canyon.

Why was Ragno Solutions created?

Ragno was created to fill the website needs of small organizations. We have spent a couple of years researching other companies and have found that most target the mid to large size businesses. Those that focus on small business aren't able to offer their clients custom websites. Many seem like they are carved from cookie cutters. While this works well for personal sites, even small organizations deserve a truly custom site to meet their needs.

What domain name should I use?

That all depends on how the name will be used. Many companies choose to use their company name. Others have choosen names that describe their business. If you plan on telling people the name it should be easy for your customers to remember.

If I use Ragno Solutions who will own my domain name?

You're company will. Ragno Solutions will not attempt to hold your domain name. You paid for it.
Unfortunately, there are some companies out there that will register your domain in their name, thus holding you hostage. What that means is you cannot take your domain name should you stop using that company. We will make sure you own your property and we are here to help you.

I see offers for free websites, why shouldn't I do that?

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

• These companies generally do not guarantee your site will be connected to the internet all the time.
• Ads are usually placed on your site to offset their costs for your free site.
• You will not get to create a unique name for your site. Generally, free sites look like this www.geocities.com/yourbusiness
• Who will you go to for support? Your getting the site for free, so it's likely there is no real support.
• Your site will look like it was free.

A host is a company that connects your business to the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

How many pages do I need?

This depends on the content you wish to display for your customers. A website should be broken into multiple pages to make it easier for people to find the content they are looking for. However, it should not be so complicated that they can not remember how they got to a specific page.
